The II International Children and Youth Festival and Competition “Bright Country” starts in Transcarpathia in a week

From 28 to 31 of October, with support of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Department of Culture of the Regional State Administration and the Department of Culture, Sports, Youth and Family of Uzhgorod City Council, the II International Children and Youth Festival and Competition "Bright Country" will be held Uzhgorod.

More than a thousand artists from almost all regions of Ukraine, in particular, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Rivne, Lviv and Transcarpathian regions will take part in the event. By the way, most of the participants will see the picturesque city on Uzh for the first time.

The main purpose of the festival is to introduce children and young adults (6-25 years) from the eastern, central and southern regions to the rich historical and cultural heritage of Transcarpathia – a unique land inhabited by different nationalities.

The festival participants will demonstrate their skills in dancing, singingl and instrumental genre to the audience and the professional jury consisting of known figures of culture and arts of Ukraine: Vyacheslav Vitkovsky, Natalia Lihay, Volodymyr Derkach, Andris Kapinsh, Olga Verkhovenko (Kyiv), Larysa Stadnichenko (Odesa), Vasyl Pipash, Natalia Holovko, Oksana Lan (Lviv), Ivan Pastelyak, Svitlana Stehney, Oleksandr Sadvariy (Uzhgorod), Victor Yantso (Mukachevo).

The festival program inculdes a number of artistic events, creative competitions and the final gala concert.

October 28 – Opening day of the festival:

14:30 – Concert "Uzhgorod welcomes" (Uzhgorod railway station);

17:45 – Opening ceremony of the festival (Teatralna Square);

18:00 – Theatrical performance, fire show (Uzhgorod Castle).

October 29 – The first day of the competition:

11: 00-18: 00 – 2 competitiion sites work simultaneously:

– Choreography – Transcarpathian Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity;

– Vocal and instrumental genre – Uzhgorod State Music College 

October 30 – The second day of the competition:

11: 00-18: 00 – The previous day program continued;

19:00 – Concert of the band "ROCK H" (Transcarpathian Regional State Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater).

October 31 – Gala Concert and grand closing of the festival in Transcarpathian Regional State Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre. The beginning is at 14.00.
