On November 4, Uzhgorod residents and visitors are invited to another night walk. It will be dedicated to the liberation of Uzhgorod from Nazi occupation, which is celebrated on October 27.
The event organizer Yevhen Agosto explains why the tour will have this theme: "This was an important event in the history of our country and the city. It brought not only new government, ideology and culture, but also a change in the population, the ethnic composition of the city and the region. On October 27, 1944, a new era for Uzhgorod began".
"For some, October 27, 1944 is a celebration of the liberation of the land from the invaders, but for others that date meant something quite different: underground, exile and the Gulag. During the night tour, Uzhgorod residents will learn about this era of Communism" – the guide Orest Kohut informed.
The meeting of the participants is near the Mikolajczyk at 21:00.
