Today, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal began the meeting with community activists asking them not to call the head of the region the "Governor".
He said that after noting that he wanted to meet with the activists at the "round table" with no presidiums, however, so many Transcarpathians came that they had to move to a larger room. Therefore, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration spent the whole meeting standing in order not to separate himself from the people with a table.
As for the "governor", as the head of the region is often referred to, Vasyl Hubal considers the word inappropriate, since in Ukraine there are no provinces. There can be many synonyms – the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the head of the region, the President’s representative in the region and so on.
In general, during the meeting, they discussed mostly personnel issues and lustration, which the region and Ukraine as a whole is expecting. Vasyl Hubal listened to activists, answered numerous questions and promised to make decisions that will benefit the whole community of the region.
