The head of the Regional State Administration instructed to make sports fields in the region untouched for distribution and development

"I count on your support in creating opportunities for healthy recreation and sports education of children and youth" – with these words the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration Vasyl Hubal addressed the heads of youth sports schools of Olympic reserve and representatives of sports associations of Transcarpathia, who had gathered for a meeting at the Department of Youth and Sports of the Regional State Administration.

The head of the region emphasized that children and youth sports schools would be funded from the state budget this year, so there are opportunities to work and develop. Meanwhile, Vasyl Hubal demands an efficient use of all resources – from funds to sports fields and rooms. And also, to fulfill a social role, in particular, to create an alternative to bad habits.  

Another priority is to support development of gifted children, whose families do not have enough financial resources. Thus, the regional authorities commissioned the responsible officials to develop a system of transparent selection of young football players to a specialized boarding school on the basis of open competition.

At the meeting, sports officials were suggested to develop an action plan for this year, while paying attention to children. "There are many tasks in the sports field, in particular, Transcarpathia will host nationwide competitions. We have to manage and take care of the development of this area. In addition to the budget funds, we should also seek out patronage resources. And remember: sports schools and organizations play an important social role. Always be aware of what and whom you work for" – Vasyl Hubal said.

Recall that in recent weeks, several decisions aimed at the development of sports fields and playgrounds have been made. In particular, the head of the RSA appealed to the regional center authorities with a request to register the fields suitable for team games as sports facilities, in order to prevent their distribution, privatization and change of purpose.
