On Thursday, April 2, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal visited the place of permanent deployment of the National Guard of Ukraine Battalion – the military unit 3002 M in Uzhgorod.
The battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Glushchenko and his deputy, Colonel Oleksandr Zadvorny showed the head of the region the arrangements of the unit, the office space and the equipment of Transcarpathian National Guard. One of the battalions of the brigade, which includes four regions – Tramscarpathian, Lviv, Rivne and Ternopil – is deployed in Uzhgorod. Currently, the majority – about 80 – of the Transcarpathian battalion officers have participated in the ATO, the personnel had three rotations in the war zone, currently is preparing for the fourth one.
Vasyl Hubal talked to the battalion command on the topics of security in the region and the country, and then discussed the needs of the unit. First of all, it is the problem with the roof of the main building. During the meeting, the head of the Regional State Administration informed: the regional authorities will help with timber and specialists to quickly repair the roof.
Then Vasyl Hubal raised the issue of social protection of servicemen, assistance from the government. He told what is being done in the region for that, that there is a unified system to support the ATO participants "Direct Contact" and gave the battalion memos – "road maps", which provide the mechanisms for receiving assistance, protection of rights, contacts of relevant services, and so on.
