This was announced today by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yatsenyuk.
"We also have accumulated a billion hryvnia to quickly perform a current road repair. It is called patch repair. I do not like this definition. But in fact that’s what it really is. The second part – 700 million – goes to Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, a "piece" in Transcarpathia," – Yatsenyuk said.
In addition, the Prime Minister said that the government would provide 50 million euros of the credit granted by Poland to build roads to the border crossing points.
"I spoke with the Prime Minister of Poland. Poland has allocated Ukraine 100 million euros, and we agreed with Eva Kopacz to divide this 100 million euros in two parts. 50 million euros will be spent for construction of roads, primarily those that lead to the checkpoints, because on the side of Poland. it is Europe, and on the side of Ukraine, it’s still like in the Soviet Union" – Yatsenyuk said.
Also, the World Bank will provide 800 million dollars for the construction and repair of roads in Ukraine.
"The World Bank gives 800 million dollars for construction of the road Poltava – Kharkiv. But we have agreed as follows: to divide that amount in half. One half will go for the road Poltava – Kharkiv, and another half – to repair existing roads. Because the condition of pavement in Ukraine is just terrible," – the Prime Minister said.
According to him, the next week, the Parliament should adopt a number of laws necessary to launch the WB project in Ukraine.
