The government of neighboring Hungary is imposing strict rules on travel abroad

The Hungarian government has decided to introduce stricter rules on travel abroad starting next month. This was stated by the head of the office of Prime Minister Gergey Gulyas on Wednesday.

The operational council coordinating Hungary’s response to the coronavirus epidemic is to put forward its proposals for new rules at next week’s cabinet meeting.

However, Gergey Gulyas has already advised Hungarians not to book trips abroad in September, especially to southern countries.

He noted that the educational process should be started normally, and for this purpose the number of patients with Covid-19 should be kept under control.

According to Gulyas, the pandemic is getting worse in most European countries, and Hungary is only a few weeks behind the general trend. This means that the government cannot yet lift restrictions on travel abroad.
