The government approved the gas balance for 2014

Ukraine in 2014, intends to import 19.899 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is 28.9% less than that in 2013 (27.974 billion cubic meters).

The projected balance of income and distribution of natural gas in 2014 was approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №1211-p of November 26, the press service of the CMU informed.

According to the document, the income of natural gas from the "Gazprom" in the current year is expected to amount to 14.866 billion cubic meters, from the EU – 4.966 billion cubic meters.

Overall, Ukraine in 2014 will need to 53.033 billion cubic meters of natural gas, of which domestic gas will reach 20.495 billion cubic meters, imports – 19.899 billion cubic meters, extraction from underground storage facilities (UGS) – 12.357 billion cubic meters, extraction from pipelines – 0.279 billion cubic meters, balancing gas volume of the "Gazprom" – 0,003 billion cubic meters.
