On September 14, the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Cyril convened an extraordinary meeting of the Synod due to the arrival of exarchs of the Patriarch of Constantinople to Ukraine.

As a result of the meeting, the Synod of the ROC decided to stop mentioning the Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew in worship.

On September 17, exarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew brought the evidence of the provision of autocephaly to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to Ukraine.
