This village has its own ancient legend about an angel and a devil who met in the local Churova Lavka tract.
According to the legend, once upon a time, a dispute broke out between the devil and the angel about which force is stronger – good or evil. They decided to settle it with a jump: whoever jumps further is the strong one. The devil climbed the Plishka mountain, the angel – to the Rivna plain. They both jumped and landed in the Churova Lavka on a large rock that stood on the bank of the Bystryk river.
The impacts were so strong that both left their marks on the stone: the angel – a human foot, the devil – a hoof. The angel won in that dispute, because the distance to the stone from the Rivna plain is more than 25 km, and from the Plishka – only 8.
The legend is passed down from generation to generation, and the place is now a popular destination among tourists.
