The first private park in Ukraine will be opened in Uzhgorod

Ukraine’s first private park in Uzhgorod will give the city a new sightseeing platform of the Cathedral.

Untill now, contrary to the tradition common in European cities, there has not been an open area in front of the cathedral. Now, Uzhgorod residents and tourists will be able to admire the cathedral and take pictures of or draw it from a completely new angle – the correspondent of the IA ZIK informed.

The founder of the park is Alen Panov, diplomat and public figure. Several years ago, Alen Panov completed another large project for the restoration of a historic building nearby, on the Castle Hill.

"Today we are seeing a good trend – restoration, return to original colors, authenticity again becomes a habit" – the diplomat said.

In the park, the monument of Maria Theresa will be installed. On January 5, it will be consecrated. There is also a number of bas reliefs depicting outstanding people for Uzhgorod.
