The first passport for children with disabilities

In Vilshany Orphanage for Disabled Children – one of the oldest institutions of this type in Transcarpathia – there was the ceremonial handing of passports to children who have reached 16 years old.

         15 pupils of the orphanage received their first main document from the hands of the chief of Khust district department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region Vasyl Surynets.

         Conratulating the participants on this momentous event in their lives, the head of the territorial division of the migration service said that from now on, a new page of maturity had opened before them. Vasyl Surynets wished the children to find their place in society and to have a number of trusted friends who are always ready to support them.

         New citizens of Ukraine were also congratulated by the Deputy Head of the Khust District State Administration Mykhailo Popovich. And the deputy director of the institution Mariya Mizun said that this event was especially exciting for them.

         In Vilshany Orphanage there are children with especially severe physical and mental disabilities. Currently, there are almost two hundred of such pupils there.
