As we reported, a big fire broke out in Transcarpathia on the border with Hungary.
The amount of damage, as well as the cause of the fire, is currently being determined by law enforcement agencies.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region, on July 1 at 9:17 pm, the Transcarpathian rescue service received a report of a fire in an unfinished commercial building located in Uzhgorod district, on the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the terminal of the checkpoint "Tisa". Several people at the checkpoint saw a fire in the attic of the building and called 101.
The crew of the 7th state fire and rescue unit of Chop was sent to the scene. Fighters of the fire and rescue post from the village of Velyka Dobron also hepled.
Together, at 9:45 p.m., they contained the fire and prevented it from spreading to the first floor of the building. The complete elimination of the fire lasted until 22:15.
