In addition to residents of Kolochava, master cooks from surrounding villages of the Tereblya Valley – Vilshany, Mizhhirya, Nehrovets, Nimetska Mokra, Ruska Mokra, Synevyr and Synevyrska Polyana – are invited to participate in it, the site of Mizhhirya District State Administration informs.
The festival is held every year on the third Saturday of June. And this year, Kolochava expects guests at the traditional, the fourth festival of riplyanka, which will take place on June 18-19 in the territory of the museum complex "Old Village".
The event will start at 14.00, on the lawn, among original historic architectural and artistic exhibits.
However, this year the festival format will be slightly modified and improved.
For the first time, the festival will be attended by participants from some villages of neighboring Tyachiv district. An obligatory condition for their participation is cooking of the main dish of the festival – riplyanka.
Every year, local art historians contribute to the organization and holding of the culinary festival. They are the main characters of all theatrical performances of the holiday.
For those, who want to learn to cook riplyanka, experienced cooks will hold a workshop with a detailed explanation of the features of the original dish.
Traditionally, all the money received from renting spaces in the museum and additional fees during the festival will be used for the needs of the Transcarpathian battalion in the ATO zone.
