The falcon family in Uzhgorod yard feel comfortable and have already produced offspring (PHOTOS)

Oleksandr Hereshko has posted on Facebook a new message about the kestrels that settled among Uzhgorod high rises:

"Remember, in April, I wrote that birds of prey had settled in an Uzhgorod yard among high rises? Recently, their chicks started to fly. There are three of them. Small birds are no longer around. They do not touch pigeons. They live in a nest on a tree in the kindergarten. They eat lizards, young rats, reptiles.

Birdsong repertoire has reduced almost exclusively to their solos. As with peacocks, it’s not exactly opera quality 🙂

Kestrel is the name of several species of the falcon.  Kestrels are characterized by their behavior during hunting, when they hover at an altitude of 10-20 meters above the ground, looking for the prey, usually small mammals. lizards or large insects. 

Recently, the bird have been increasingly often settling in cities and surrounding areas, in close proximity to humans.
