The development of villages depends on farms (PHOTOS)

The Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Mykhailo Popovich visited Khust district. During the visit, the official reviewed the work of local farms.

"Selyska" dairy – the enterprise known for its products far outside the region – is one example of mutually beneficial work with rural population. The main activity of the dairy is milk processing and production of dairy products. During one day, they process about 1.5 tons of milk. The milk is supplied by the local population from Nyzhnye Selyshche and the surrounding villages. Now, in the summer, farmers receive 3.20 UAH for one liter of milk.

Another supplier of milk for the cheese dairy is the "Mykulets" farm. Today, the farm is engaged in dairy cattle breeding and meat processing. Annually, they produce 450-480 tons of milk, which is supplied, among others, to the "Selyska" dairy.
Also they make sausages there and sell them through its own outlet.

In 2012, under the "Program for the development and support of livestock and poultry breeding in the region for 2010-2015", farms received nearly 144,000 UAH for increase of cow stock and 23,000 UAH for the replenishment of the herd.

– The development of such enterprises means the development of villages. First of all, the locals can sell their products: milk, meat. Also, it is new jobs – farmers develop and expand the workforce, – Mykhailo Popovich said.

The official also visited the company "Iza-BATE", which grow vegetables throughout the year. Today, the sown area, where they grow cucumbers and tomatoes, covers 6 acres. They plan to expand the area to 12 hectares. At the greenhouse-vegetable plant they are adopting new irrigation technologies, which can significantly simplify the process of vegetables growing and significantly saves energy.
