The city wants to buy… a kindergarten

To buy the kindergarten number 30 on Shevchenko street for three million hryvnias.

The Executive Committee ask the City Council to grant them this authority. The point is that somehow the kindergarten became private property. So they wants to return it to the city by buying it.

According to the deputy of the city council for this neighborhood Oleksandr Doktor, for years they have not been able to invest money in that kindergarten because the building is in private ownership. And suggested to reduce the price to 2.5 million hryvnias. He said that there are not many other options – the neighborhood residents have nowhere to send their children to. So the issue of purchasing of the kindergarten will be considered at the next session of the City Council.
