The Cabinet of Ministers has introduced a single sum of maternity benefit

On July 1, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced a single sum of maternity benefit in the amount of 41,280 UAH.

This is stated in the decree № 208 dd. June 25, the Ekonomichna Pravda with reference to the "Ukrainski Novyny" reported.

The amount of benefit is the same for the first child, and for all the subsequent children.

First, 10,320 UAH of the benefit is paid, the remaining amount shall be paid within the next 36 months in equal installments.

Also, citizens, who have already received the benefit for the first child, during the next 12 months will be receiving the benefit in the amount of 130 UAH until the child reaches the age of three.

The benefit for children under the age of three was canceled.

Also internally displaced persons from the territory of the ARC and the area of anti-terrorism operation, who are not able to register a newborn child, are entitled to benefits under the decision of the social security authority.

Such decision is taken by the social security authority based on the report of examination of material living conditions drawn up at the place of residence of the family.
