The British are going to restore gold mining in Transcarpathia

London-based company Times is going to restore the Muzhiyevo polymetallic ore deposit located in Transcarpathian region, the inventure.com.ua reported.

It is reported that Gofer Mining Plc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Barclays LC, was established specifically for investing in Ukrane.

Representative of the investors in Ukraine, Oleksandr Mashtepa, said that Gofer Mining Plc. plans to invest about $ 250 million in Muzhiyevo deposit ("Zakarpatpolimetaly" LLC).

At the same time, the company noted that they are willing to invest and further develop the enterprise, but there are a number of problems that must be resolved by both the investor and the government. A. Mashtepa added that the company expects cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in such a strategic industry as mining and processing of polymetallic ores.
