The grand opening of the only Animal Control Center in Transcarpathia, the best in Ukraine, took place on Wednesday, October 21.
The project within the framework of the 2014-2020 Poland – Belarus – Ukraine Cross-Border Cooperation Program was implemented by the utility company "Center for Investment and Development" of Vynogradiv City Council together with Vynogradiv City Council.
The implementation of the grant began two years ago – on November 1, 2018. The executors had 24 months to implement it. And just a few days before the official expiration of the term, the Animal Control Center opened its doors to everyone.
The huge area with open-air cages, quarantine for animals, a crematorium and a hospital block is really impressive.
Pet owners will be able to come here for qualified help, so the management hopes that very soon the Center will be self-sustaining.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Vynogradiv Stepan Bochkai, the Head of Vynogradiv Regional State Administration Ihor Vantyukh and the Chairman of Vynogradiv District Council Vitaliy Lyubka, senior experts of the Ukrainian office of the Poland-Belarus-Ukraine Cross-Border Cooperation Program.
The senior experts of the Ukrainian office of the Program were pleasantly impressed by the results, advanced and interesting solutions used during the construction of the Center. The guests noted that humane treatment of animals is the next level of society development. And such Center is not just a building, it is a civilizational step forward.
The Animal Control Center will be fully operational in early 2021.
