The story of the baby lion, which settled in the rehabilitation center for brown bears of the "Synevyr" National Park, – with the follow up: guide Igor Huledza found out further fate of the Synevyr "star":
"Last summer, baby lion Neyton unexpectedly settled in the Rehabilitation center for brown bears on the territory of the National Nature Park "Synevyr". He immediately became a local celebrity. Crowds of tourists were coming to see him.
At the end of autumn, the animal left Ukraine. Of course, I wanted to find out more about the new home and further fate of the lion. And I have found the video of the South African television channel 50|50 Community.
Briefly about the content.
In November 2017, Lionel de Lange from the Republic of South Africa, an activist of The Lawrence Anthony Earth Organization in Ukraine, found three lionesses, four-year-old Charlie and Kai and their three-year-old sister Luca. They were born in a circus and at that time lived in Sambir, which is in Lviv region, in very bad conditions.
A little later, our hero found out about the sale of two-month-old lion Neyton. The activist rescued the baby lion. After that he was sent for treatment here in Transcarpathia. Here, local veterinarian Mikhailo Masley was taking care of him. By the way, he is mentioned in the video. Thank you very much for your work!
While the animals were undergoing rehabilitation, our hero began to look for a new home for them. Eventually, the Kragga Kamma Game Park in Port Elizabeth, South Africa agreed to take them. The territory of 15,000 square meters was prepared for them. A lot of people from different parts of the country took part in the construction.
