Subsistence minimum has increased by 80 hryvnia

As of May 1, the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons is increased by 80 UAH – to 1684 UAH. This increase is provided under the law on state budget for 2017 – the Holos Karpat informs.

According to the document, as of May 1, the subsistence minimum for children up to 6 years old shall amount to 1426 UAH, for children from 6 to 18 years old – 1777 UAH, for people who are unable to work – 1312 UAH, the BBC reported.

The subsistence minimum will also affect the amount of social assistance.

This year the government will raise the subsistence minimum in three stages up to the total amount of 1762 UAH.
