Students of UzhNU are taught to be super-tolerant in a special program (PHOTOS)

The presentation of the certified program "Roma studies in UzhNU" for students of political science, sociology, psychology took place in Uzhgorod National University, Romani activist Miroslav Horvat reported on his page in Facebook.

"The vice-rector of the university Miroslav Lendyel said that the students of this program would be first in UzhNU to receive a certificate next year. Each of the teachers, who developed the disciplines for the program, (Mykhailo Zan, Yevhenia Navrotska, Miroslav Horvat, Petro Habryn) spoke on general principles and objectives of "Roma studies" teaching, about the experience in teaching of Roma studies courses at universities of Ukraine and Europe.

Expert from Kyiv Natalia Zinevych made her own presentation about the prospects for the introduction of "Romani Studies" at our university.

Following introductory presentations, a focus group of 20-25 students will be formed that will start working on teaching of the "studies" from September 2016.
Practical implementation of the "Roma Studies at UzhNU" is taking place with the full organizational and financial support from the International Fund "Renaissance".
