Students of the Beregovo Gymnasium decided not to bring traditional flowers and instead help sick children (PHOTOS)

The students of the Ukrainian Gymnasium joined the annual campaign "Charity instead of flowers".

They said that they had organized the campaign not at the state level but at the local level, as there are children in the city who need medical assistance.

They were raising money for young Maxim Bezruchenko, who is battling cancer, as well as Dmytro Palko, who is waiting for a new heart in India.

The fundraising continued today, as some students missed the ceremonial line-up yesterday.
