In the Transcarpathian Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity "PADIYUN", the third regional forum of student government leaders took place. Delegates from all districts of the region gathered to the forum. The agenda included several issues: the election of President, Vice-President, the formation of the core group of the Transcarpathian student parliament "New Generation" committees.
This year 7 candidates were running for the president of the Transcarpathian regional student parliament "New Generation". The most interesting is that among them there was no representative of the stronger sex, only girls.
Before voting, each representative from district and local student organizations had the opportunity to speak, to talk about their activities and areas of work. Also, the students shared their experiences, which each of them has gained during the existence of the student parliament.
During the forum of leaders, there were also master classes. They were held within the framework of two projects – "Bring a smile" and "We are for a happy childhood, responsible parenthood", recommended to implement by the Student League of Ukraine.
The purpose of the "Bring a smile" project is to give children, who grow up in orphanages, photo albums with photos. Such campaigns will be held around the region, and members of the student government will be implementing them.
The project "We are for a happy childhood, responsible parenthood" purports to prevent early sex life, pregnancy and STDs.
As a result of the election, Hanna Kinash from Mizhhirya district became the President of the Transcarpathian regional student government, Karina Shkriba from Mukachevo became the Vice-President.
