Stimulation to save money: starting from March, subsidies will be paid in cash

The draft resolution on this issue was approved at the government meeting.

As stated in the explanatory note to the draft document, the provision of cash subsidies stimulates consumers to efficient use of utilities.

It is noted that monetization of subsidies was a logical step in reforming the housing and utilities sector, energy and social sphere. According to the plan, the recipients of subsidies, who arranged for subsidies before January 2019, will receive cash in March.

"There will be several ways to provide funds to citizens. Consumers will retain the money saved thanks to the efficient consumption of resources," – the government said.

It is noted that attention is also paid to the issue of real account of resources.
