Ukrainian musician and cultural figure Oleg Skrypka, who last year also became a Transcarpathian winemaker, visited Uzhgorod.
The concert took place in the Ilko Gallery. Oleg Skrypka not only performed songs, but also chatted with the audience: about music, about life, about France, about Ukraine and – about wine.
The musician performed his most famous songs, accompanying himself on accordion or guitar. He also sang the lullaby, which inspired the legendary American composer George Gershwin (son of Ukrainian emigrants) to create one of the most famous sings in the world: "Summertime". The highlight of the evening was the performance of the cult song "Spring", which indeed is about to come.
The legend of Ukrainian culture once again declared his love to Transcarpathia. He is convinced that Ukrainian and, in particular, Transcarpathian, culture, music, gastronomy, wine should be promoted. In 2018, in partnership with the Transcarpathian winery, Oleg Skrypka released a limited edition of the trademark wine "Krayina Mriy".
During the concert, Oleg Skrypka raffled a bottle of the rose wine as a prize for the best question, signed wine bottles for the guests, posed for pictures, and promised to come again as soon as it gets warm.
