The text of the official statement:
"Last night, a terrible tragedy happenned in Mukachevo – a young 18-year-old Roma was killed. According to the information, currently being checked by the police, the suspect in the murder is a candidate to the deputy of Mukachevo city council from the party "Bloc of Petro Poroshenko – "Solidarnist".
Transcarpathian regional organization of the party "Bloc of Petro Poroshenko – "Solidarnist" calls on law enforcement agencies to conduct an impartial and objective investigation of this crime and expects the appropriate punishment for all those involved in the tragedy.
Before clarificition of all the circumstances of the tragedy, the city organization of the party "Bloc of Petro Poroshenko – "Solidarnist" immediately held the meeting of the organization and unanimously decided to remove the candidate from the electoral list. The application for cancellation of the candidate’s registration was filed with Mukachevo city TEC.
Kalman Olah’s candidacy for deputy of Mukachevo City Council was suggested by the Roma community. Since our position is to protect the interests of minorities, including the Roma, the Mukachevo headquarters submitted his candidacy. We declare that we will continue to protect interests of all national communities of the city, including the Roma. Also, we will be checking our candidates more thoroughly to avoid such situations the future.
We express our condolences to the family of the deceased and hope for objective investigation and punishment for guilty parties."

According to the available information, the conflict broke out between the two "camps" of the local Roma population. As a result of the fight, a young 18-year-old man was deadly wounded. He had a small child and a pregnant wife. After news of his death, a group of Roma decided to deal with potential killers themselves. As a result of the conflict, the house of one of the suspects was set on fire.
