Quite strong and sticky snow, that fell in Transcarpathia, not only hindered traffic, especially on the passes, but also damaged power lines. There were many breakages.
144 workers and 37 vehicles of the power company are eliminating damages caused by the snowfall, – the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC reported.
Thus, according to the Deputy General Director and Technical Director of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC Oleksandr Bilak, bad weather caused damage to power lines in 8 districts: Velyky Berezny, Vynogradiv, Volovets, Mukachevo, Svalyava, Tyachiv, Uzhgorod and Khust. In total, 26 settlements were de-energized, 7 of them – partially.
The Deputy Director General and Technical Director also said that all breakages would be eliminated and electricity supply to the settlements would be resumed by the end of the day.
