Utilities were working all night, mostly removing snow and pouring anti-icing mixture on central and most busy streets, bus routes, ascents, bus stops. 12 vehicles, including 4 tractors, a grader, a loader, and 5 multi-purpose road vehicles, were employed. In the morning, 18 units of machinery were working on the streets and the pedestrian part of the city. After a few hour break, approximately at 15.00, they will start removing snow. Uzhgorod city council once again asks residents and guests of the city: due to heavy precipitation, do not travel by cars without urgent need, while driving be particularly attentive and cautious, adhere to the rules of the road, the distance to other vehicles, choose proper speed. Drivers, who drive behind special vehicles, need to keep the distance of 30-40 meters in order to avoid damage. Once again, we appeal to drivers with a request to remove vehicles from the roadside and not to leave cars on the main roads in the evening and night, because they interfere with snow removal. We also remind that owners and tenants of offices, shops, cafes and other institutions, heads of condominiums and owners of private houses should clear the territory adjacent to their buildings. Due to temperature differences, it is also necessary to prevent fall of snow and icicles from roofs. Employees of enterprises, organizations, businesses and owners of the houses bear responsibility for these works.
