Smugglers left 10 boxes of contraband cigarettes on the bank of the Tisa

Last night, at the Ukrainian-Romanian border, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment prevented another attempt to smuggle tobacco products. The border guard of the "Solotvyno" department found packages with ten boxes of cigarettes while checking the information about alleged illegal activities at the border.

Smugglers intended to carry the tobacco products across the Tisa river, which forms the border between Ukraine with Romania, but, having noticed the border guards, left the cigarettes on the bank of the river and fled.

The found packages contained more than five thousand packs of cigarettes, they were taken to the border guard unit and will be handed over to employees of the SFS, – the press service of the Mukachevo border guard detachment reported.
