Slovakia responded to the incident with the customs officer who asked money "for coffee". The official response to the video was published on the Financna sprava’s Facebook page, the Mukachevo.net informs.
"As for the video published by a Ukrainian journalist from the Ukrainian-Slovak border, our position is clear: corruption is unacceptable. We know about the video. The officer has already been identified, an inspection is being carried out there. Detection of corruption in our ranks is not an easy job; it requires direct evidence and effective cooperation with the financial department and the police. We also want to add, if you have information about corruption activities, do not hesitate to report it. We can check even basic information", – the statement reads.
Recall that Transcarpathian journalist Vitaliy Glagola posted a video from the Slovak-Ukrainian border, where he recorded one of the customs officials talking about the tradition of bribing.
