Since the beginning of the year, almost one hundred Transcarpathians have bought electric cars

According to the Department of Communications of the SFS in Transcarpathia, the citizens have imported 10 vehicles, and foreign economic entities – 88. The most popular models of imported electric cars are Hyundai Ioniq, Tesla, Nissan Leaf.

Recall that when importing into the customs territory of Ukraine vehicles with exclusively electric engines (one or more) for free circulation, only excise tax amounting to 1 euro per 1 kW-hour of the capacity of such vehicle electric battery shall be paid.

The rate of the import duty on electric vehicles is 0%. In addition, for the period until December 31, 2022, the temporary exemption from VAT on import of vehicles with only electric motors (one or more) is in place.
