Since the beginning of April, Ukraine has significantly reduced gas imports from Hungary

Since April 1, 2015, Ukraine has significantly reduced the volume of natural gas imports from Hungary.

This is reflected in the available data of the Hungarian GTS operator, the "Interfax-Ukraine" reported.

According to available data, while in the second half of March, gas imports ranged from 5 million cubic meters to 7 million cubic meters, on April 1, it was 1 million cubic meters, on April 2 – 1.9 million cubic meters, on April 3 and 4 – 0.7 million cubic meters.

Meanwhile, according to available data of the Polish GTS operator Gaz-System, gas imports from this country have increased since April 1 from 0.7-0.8 to 1.1 million cubic meters per day.

Gas imports from Slovakia in April, according to this country’s gas transportation system operator Eustream, is 37.9 million cubic meters of gas per day, which almost corresponds to the March figure.

According to the "Ukrtransgaz" JSC, on April 1, gas imports from Russia amounted to 0.8 million cubic meters, on April 2 – 5.3 million cubic meters, on April 3 – 4.6 million cubic meters, on April 4 – 6.5 million cubic meters.

These deliveries are less than those in March, despite the decline in gas prices in the second quarter after signing an additional agreement between the "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and the Russian "Gazprom".

In the first quarter of 2015, Ukraine imported from Europe 3.649 billion cubic meters of gas, from Russia – 2.157 billion cubic meters.
