Since the beginning of 2016, the trade in Transcarpathia totaled almost UAH 31 billion

As of July 1, 2016, 3,750 entities carrying out transactions with goods are registered wih the Transcarpathian customs office. Foreign economic activities in June were carried out by 959 entities.

During the first six months of 2016, business entities had UAH 30.76 billion worth of goods cleared at the ​​Transcarpathian customs office. Of those, UAH 15.77 billion worth of goods was imported, UAH 14.99 billion worth of goods was exported.

In January-June, the customs office issued 68,217 customs declarations, of which 34.3% were for import and 42.5% were for export.

Imports of goods through the customs office were carried out mainly from the following countries: Hungary – 55.4%, Germany – 8.8%, Austria – 8.1%. The main import products were: insulated wires, cables and other insulated electric conductors; optical fiber cables (10.3% of the total); electronic integrated circuits and electronic modules (7.9% of the total); automatic data processing machines and units thereof; magnetic or optical readers (6.8% of the total); electrical apparatus for switching protection, conncetion of electrical circuits for a voltage not exceeding 1000 V (5.9% of the total).

Countries of origin of imported goods were mainly China (17.3%), EU (11.4%), Germany (11.0%).

Exports of goods were carried out mostly to the following countries: Hungary (50.5%), Slovakia (8.9%), Germany (8.4%). The main export products were: insulated wires, cables and other insulated electric conductors; optical fiber cables (25% of the total); reception apparatus for television, video monitors and video projectors (7.6% of the total), telephone sets or telegraphs, videophones (7.4% of the total); electrical heating equipment and apparatus; electric irons (6.4% of the total); treated timber with the thickness exceeding 6 mm (5.8% of the total)
