Shchadey asked law enforcement officers to investigate into land and property deals of the former government

The acting mayor said that after the report of the Deputy Prosecutor of Uzhgorod Ruslan Bilovar.

It was about millions of losses in the budget because of activities of the former municipal authorities regarding the municipal property. In particular, the losses due to non-receipt of money for rent, and so on. It turned out that the city government neither had adequate account of communal property, nor checked the payments. Thus, there are objects with nearly half a million debt, and lease agreements are not terminated.

Shchadey said: "This is an invitation to law enforcement agencies, a request to check and give legal assessment in order to punish guilty parties."

It primarily concerns the activities of the Director of the Municipal Economy Department Oleksiy Kasperov whose work has caused the city millions of losses. The official was fired, but the problems caused by his activities remain – in particular, the "hole" in the budget.

According to the deputy prosecutor of the city Ruslan Bilovar, the criminal proceeding will also involve the recovery of funds lost due to criminal activities of the officials.
