Seven Transcarpathians have been deprived of Hungarian citizenship

Seven citizens of Ukraine were deprived of Hungarian citizenship according to paragraph 9 of the Citizenship Law of Hungary. The decision affected natives of Mukachevo district, Transcarpathian region of Ukraine.

In addition to citizens of Ukraine, citizens of Serbia and Romania were deprived of Hungarian citizenship.
The main reason for deprivation of citizenship are irregularities in the process of document filing, deception or lack of knowledge of the Hungarian language, absence of obligatory confirmation from "ethnic" Hungarians of neighboring countries.
