"A lot has been written about the quality of work of the "Ukrzaliznytsya" and the state of the trains. But, when it seems that the monopolist has hit the bottom, someone knocks from below. This time, passengers of the train "Uzhgorod-Odesa" became the victims of the officials’ senselessness," – the statement reads.

The incident happened during the stop in Lviv in the car № 9 of the train 227 LB.

In the lobby, boiling water started pouring from the ceiling right on the passengers. The pressure was so strong that in a matter of minutes the water reached the corridor of the car, and many passengers’ luggage got soaked.

The employees of the "Ukrzaliznytsya" explain the reason for the incident quite simply – they poured too much water during refueling.

"It’s just excess water running off," – the conductor said.

The passengers themselves say that the train should have been written off ten years ago as it is already falling apart.

The reason of using the hot water was that the tap got frozen. Railway employees wanted to warm up the pipes in this way.

The affected people will have to travel with wet luggage in the flooded car for at least 12 hours.
