The 38-year-old warrant officer of the 128th separate mechanized mountain infantry brigade is survived by the wife and two sons.

The funeral of the soldier took place on Tuesday, January 13, at the central cemetery.

The funeral prayer was conducted by a priest of the local Roman Catholic cathedral.

Serhiy Verbitsky died while performing military duty, most likely from a sniper bullet.

Recall that yesterday another Transcarpathian soldier – Oleg Sidor of the Aydar battalion – was buried in Mukachevo district.
