“Secrets” of voting at the city council will be known only to the mayor

Today, October 5, at the third plenary meeting of the XIV Uzhgorod city council session, the members voted for the amendments to the Rules of Uzhgorod City Council. The issue was put up for consideration by the member of regulatory commission and the Party of Regions Anatoly Kowalski. Member of City Council Vasyl Hnatkiv expressed doubt that the issue had been considered by the regulatory commission and asked to provide a protocol that would have confirmed the commission meeting. He also asked democratically minded deputies not to participate in such a farce and remove their cards. 
However, the decision was adopted. So from now on only the mayor will know who and how deputies voted in secret ballot, and heads of factions will no longer have access to the results of roll-call vote.
