Second Yard Sale takes place in Uzhgorod

Second ‘Yard Sale’ takes place in Uzhgorod today, August 12. Trade Fair, during which all comers can sell and purchase interesting, authentic, ancient, old and ‘handmade’ things.

Trade fair takes place in the alpine garden. Guests of the event are welcomed by Bokshay and Erdelyi who are decorated with scarves and umbrella. There are a lot of painted posters and live music. Visitors have an opportunity not only to buy interesting things, but ‘conceptually’ make a photo on the background of the carpet and then buy a printed photo from the organizers. Those who concerned about the fate of homeless animals have an opportunity to take home one of the puppies or kittens from Uzhgorod Society of Animal Protection ‘Barbos’.

Vita Munchak, one of the Uzhgorod Yard Sale organizers said: ‘There are quite a large number of people who produce ​​some interesting things in Uzhgorod. However, they have no opportunity to realize their products anywhere – only during festivals or trade fairs. Therefore we got the idea to organize such an event. We still at the initial stage, but we are planning to develop. Now we want to hold such actions every month even in winter.

The chief organizer of ‘Yard sale’ Valik Klyepakov in the comments to uzhgorod.in said: ‘It is nice that such event gathers together many creative young people. This is not just a trade fair, this is the place where creative people meet to communicate, find inspiration, exchange their points of view. It was more difficult to organize a trade fair for the second time, because the first one was just a test drive. But this time there gathered less participants than last time because of weather condition.

The participant of the event, Katia, arrived from Chisinau. She has also been actively involved in the organization of such events there. ‘Our Yard Sales are held on a higher level. This is not surprising, because we have been started to organize these Yard Sales two years ago. Everything started with a small courtyard of one of the organizers, and now it is twice bigger than yours. Last time our trade fair was attended by nearly 200 sellers.’
