23 concerts with participation of musicians and dancers from Ukraine and Poland, Russia and Austria, Italy and Slovakia will be held within the international festival ‘Shengen poludnyk’. The festival will be held from June 29 to July 7 and will cover the Eastern Slovakia border and Transcarpathia, reports Ukrinform.
According to the festival director Igor Dovhovych, the main aim of the festival is young musicians’ unification ‘as from the neighbor and from the distant Schengen border states’.
A joint concert performance of all the participants in the ‘House of Arts’ of the Slovak city of Kosice will start the parade. It will be finished in Kosice church on July 6, where the International Orchestra and Choir ‘Schengen poludnyk 2012’ will perform, which was formed in the process of the joint concerts in the cities of Slovakia and Ukraine.
