Sanatorium ‘Shayan’ was fined for abuse of monopoly power

The Transcarpathian regional territorial office of the Antimonopoly Committee fined 25 thousand for the abuse of monopoly power Sanatorium ‘Shayan’.

As it was set by the department, the company has established economically unreasonable charges of 1 cub. m. of mineral water and overestimated the profitability level that led to price rise of mineral water for the secondary users.

In addition, Sanatorium ‘Shayan’ established the level of profitability at 63 percent. Moreover, the level of profitability at other enterprises that operates at the same market is less than 30%.

Department obliged the respondent to stop the violation and applied the penal sanctions, reported the press service of the Transcarpathian regional territorial office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
