Romanian artists presented their works in Tyachiv gallery (PHOTOS)

An exhibition of paintings by artists from the city of Baia Mare (Romania) opened in Tyachiv S.Hollosy Picture Gallery, the zakarpattya.net.ua informed.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Consul General of Romania in the city of Chernivtsi Eleonora Moldovan, the Prefect of Maramures Sebastian Lupuc, officials of regional, district and city authorities, representatives of Romanian cultural societies, local artists and art lovers.

The exhibition is dedicated to the founder of the school, the famous artist and teacher Simon Hollosy, who lived in Tyachiv for many years. The exhibition consists of works of 24 artists from Baia Mare.

The exhibition is complemented with two paintings by famous Ukrainian artist Havrylo Hlyuk (1912-1983), who was born in the city of Siget (Romania), and whose works are presented in more than 37 European countries.

The art exhibition will last two weeks, after which on May 19 it will be shown in Mukachevo.
