Retrospective exhibition of Ivan Ilko opens in Uzhgorod (Announcement)

March 15, at 17:00, in the gallery "ILKO Gallery", there will be the opening of the retrospective exhibition of works of Ivan Ilko devoted to his 80th anniversary entitled "My World, Verkhovyna". The presented works cover more than half a century of his creative career. The general unifying theme is the ethnos of the Carpathians. 
Honored Artist of Ukraine Ivan Ilko is not just in love with his native land. He is genetically linked with it and is genetically linked with the Transcarpathian painting tradition. He is one of the dominant figures in the Transcarpathian painting of the second half of the twentieth century. He found his unique landscape intonation and showed the Carpathians, their grandeur, their incomprehensibility, spontaneity in his own way.
