The penalty in amount of 100 percent of the cost of cigarettes, their confiscation, as well as confiscation of the vehicle with a cache that was used to move contraband across the customs border of Ukraine. This is the punishment for the citizen, who tried to carry hidden 232 packs of cigarettes through the customs post "Vylok" of the Transcarpathian customs office.
The citizen of Ukraine driving a van "FORD TRANSIT 350" was going in Hungary in private affairs. He chose the "green corridor" for customs control.
Based on analysis and risk assessment, the vehicle was taken out the general queue of the "green corridor" and sent to the box for in-depth inspection.
In the floor of the luggage compartment, they found cigarettes "COMPLIMENT" made in Ukraine without excise stamps. The access to the found cigarettes became possible after dismantling of the aluminum slat at the rear of the body and a wooden insert. The cigarettes were placed in the cavity between the decorative wooden flooring and a metal bottom of the body.
The citizen explained that he had concealed the cigarettes and tried to move them to Hungary.
Thus, the citizen of Ukraine committed actions aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control through the use of means impeding the detection of such goods. These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, the report on violation of customs rules was made, the cigarettes (their cost is being established) and the vehicle worth 194,796 UAH were seized.
