Residents of the village of Lypcha refuse to be tested for coronavirus and are preventing the establishment of a checkpoint

The decision to quarantine the village of Lypcha in Khust district was made two days ago, yesterday they were supposed to set up a checkpoint there and test the population with symptoms of infection. However, the checkpoint was not set up, and people refused to take the tests.
This was announced by the acting head of the Khust District State Administration.

Yes, indeed, we have a decision of the district emergency response commission to toughen the quarantine measures in the village of Lypcha due to an outbreak of coronavirus infection. However, yesterday we could not set up the checkpoint or to test the population – people refused to be tested, they are scared and do not understand any arguments. There are a dozen people in the village with severe symptoms of coronavirus, today, according to my information, there have been three more appeals to doctors from new people who also have symptoms of coronavirus disease. That is why today another team of medics has been sent to the village to try to test the population,” – Popovych said.
He also stressed that the district authorities have made a decision and there will be a checkpoint in the village.
It is needed to restrict movement within the village and prevent the spread of infection." – Popovych said.
