On October 14, in the fireplace room of the Regional State Administration, there was a meeting of the head of the Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal with Miles Dudley – a political officer at the US Embassy in Ukraine.
At the meeting, they discussed the socio-economic development of the region and the electoral process.
– In politics, we have no serious conflicts, – H. Moskal said. – As for economic problems, they are nationwide rather than local.
Also the head of the Regional State Administration informed the American guest that Transcarpathia is subsidized from the state budget by 78 percent, so there is a dependence on Kyiv in grants and subsidies for social assistance to inhabitants of the regions. It is important for us to attract investors and create jobs that will allow for successful social and economic development and greater autonomy in financial terms.
