Transcarpathian Folk Choir once again is preparing an interesting event. This time, listeners will have the opportunity to hear what and how Transcarpathians were singing 100 or even 200 years ago.
"On April 23, at 14.00, in Uzhgorod castle, you will be able to hear the Transcarpathian choral music of 19th and early 20th century. None of the works to be performed can be found in modern collections! Works of Oleksandr Dukhnovich, Vasyl Talapkovych, Ioann Bokshay, Silvaya, Kizyma and others, songs by Mykhailo Roschahivsky (performed by children’s ensembles) and many more almost lost or forgotten works! If you want to hear what and how Transcarpathians were singing 100-200 years ago, do not miss our Easter program!" – the head of the choir Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk announces on her Facebook page.
