In March, bibliophiles celebrated Shevchenko days and a number of other literary holidays, and therefore, Her Majesty Book was given due attention, the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs. The promotion of reading continues along with the socio-cultural project "All Transcarpathia reads to children." Recall that it is being implemented under the project "All Ukraine reads to children" and initiated by a representative of the Center for the Research of Literature for Children and Youth in Transcarpathia, writer Galina Malik and with the support of the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
On April 11, the project will visit the Natural-Humanitarian College of UzhNU. That’s right: not to schoolchildren, but to university students. In fact, promotion of reading among this audience is no less important, the organizers say. After all, young people burdened with educational literature seldom read fiction unless it is required by the curriculum. And yet, teenagers can learn a lot from books of their contemporaries. A representative of young Ukrainian literature (from Amsterdam!) will visit the students with the presentation of the novel, which belongs to a quite unfilled niche in Ukrainian literature – "Books for teens."
As always, participants of the meeting will receive books and souvenir gifts from the Department of Culture of the RSA. The organizers also invite writers, journalists and everyone willing to chat with the guest.
The beginning is at 10.00. Admission is free
